Have some fun this Christmas season with unique table setting ideas.  Table decorations for the holidays can a lot of Christmas spirit!

Gift wrap the after dinner chocolate mint (or some other little treat) and place the little presents on the plates. Use the gift tag to write the guest's name for the place card. Makes a wonderful presentation and is very festive. Tip - be sure that your treat is not too greasy as it may stain the gift wrap.
Use Christmas ball ornaments as place card holders. Simply put craft wire in the opening so that the card stays in place. With a gold pen write your guests' names. At your local craft store you can find festive silk flowers. You can pop off their tops and place them randomly on the table.
Use table runners and place them so they hang over the width of the table (the shorter side) as opposed to the usual length wise direction. Don't be afraid to have fun with your table linens and over lay them so they create interesting looks. Tip - watch for really thick linens as they could cause unevenness on the table top.
